Transforming Self and Practice Through Embodied Movement – Sessions 1 & 2*

BIO - HEATHER STARSONG
Heather Starsong experienced Rolfing® in 1970 by Ed Maupin and Dorothy Nolte. She trained with Judith Aston and began her movement practice in 1974. When Judith split from the Rolf Institute, Heather and a group of other Structural Patterners gathered at her Boulder studio to create a movement program for the Rolf Institute. Heather taught the first Rolf Movement training with Megan James in 1979, and was a movement instructor on the faculty until 1994.  She trained in the structural work in 1985-1986 with Emmett Hutchins and Peter Melchior and received her advanced certification in 1991.

Heather’s work has been enriched by studies in cranial and visceral work, her extensive background in dance and yoga, and thirty-seven years of practicing Continuum.

Heather is presently semi-retired. When she is not Rolfing or teaching classes and private sessions in Rolf Movement, she enjoys hiking in the high country, dancing Argentine tango, writing novels and spending time with her grandchildren.
