This presentation will dicuss how Rolfers™ can support clients who intent to become pregnant, are pregnant, immediately post-birth, and their transition into motherhood and reclaiming their body back.
Preparing a woman's body prior to pregnancy can help with the transition to pregnancy. This allows the woman's body to come into alignment which will shift again in pregnancy and again after birth. However, this will help the Rolfer have an indepth understanding of this client's body so they can best support them during all stages of their pregnancy.
Rolfing® can be an essential support during pregnancy as pregnancy can come with much strain as a woman shares one body with their growing baby. Whether the Rolfer helps with regulating the mother's nervous system, helps with aches and pains in their pelvis, neck and feet. Prepares their pelvic floor or even helps manipulate the baby in the correct position for a healthy birth. The relationship of Rolfer and pregnant client can be a special relationship.
Hopefully this helps Rolfers understands the "do's" and "don'ts" regarding Pregnancy. And allows Rolfers to feel confident taking on and working with clients during all stages of pregnancy.
